Who we are
MindTimbre™ is made by Durham Systems Management, a team in the English Lake District that builds software for EEG and biofeedback devices, including Vilistus and the Mindstreams data platform.
Founder and Managing Director
Stephen brings over 40 years of IT experience. He founded Durham Systems Management after spotting a clear gap in the market for affordable biofeedback technology, and built the company around a simple mission: make that technology accessible to a wider audience, without the clinical-grade price tag.
Head of Software Engineering
David heads up engineering, working across web, mobile and the backend systems that tie it all together. He has shipped biofeedback software across every platform it runs on, and connected custom hardware devices straight into the browser in real time.
Why we built MindTimbre
We've spent years building software that reads signals from the body. When we looked at voice and frequency apps, we found plenty of bold claims and very little measurement. So we built MindTimbre from first principles: standard acoustics, exact ratios, every formula published, and every pattern tested against chance.
